Our back-testing prototype is officially live: in the past two weeks, we finished the minimum viable NOVA system and are now running the leanest end-to-end version of the platform in backtesting mode while it vets our first tranche of strategies. Backtest mode executes the entire deployable system in a single process, so it will not merely help prove out arbitrary model hypotheses with maximum fidelity, but also serves as a simulation test for NOVA itself. The goal for this cycle is to surface baseline performance stats, refine execution logic, and begin parameter sweeps, which is critical prep before we trade real capital with the launch of our founder-funded internal prop fund.

What & Why
Doomsun is a fintech operating in the algorithmic trading space with a thematic focus on energy transition, a rapidly expanding sector fueled by the global shift from fossil fuels to low-carbon solutions. We’re building NOVA, our platform for trading and understanding the market structure of this turbulent landscape. NOVA systematically develops, tests, and deploys strategies initially in energy transition equities and derivatives by combining advanced signal processing with machine learning techniques using an adaptive architecture. The result is actionable insights and trading strategies that capture volatility while revealing how these evolving markets behave under the hood. Our phased roadmap funds itself and widens the moat: build NOVA ➜ trade with prop capital ➜ launch a $200 M LP fund in early 2027 ➜ productize our data and SaaS insights.
